Discreet, In-Person Sober Support
for high-Stakes Events & Travel
Because your reputation travels with you
Helping executives, doctors and public figures stay clear, confident and sober when it matters most.
I’m Dave Harris, founder of Veritas Sober Support — and a former global executive who stayed sober while traveling the world.
I understand the pressures, temptations and expectations that come with success on the road.
My service provides confidential, professional sober support for executives, doctors, and public figures who must stay clear, composed and in control when it matters most.

Travel, conferences and high-profile events are where sobriety is most important - and most at risk. Hotel bars, after-parties and constant pressure create environments filled with temptation.
That's where Veritas Sober Support steps in - providing tailored, in-person support from departure to return, ensuring you remain focused, accountable and protected when the stakes couldn't be higher.
TWO PATHWAYS OF SUPPORT
Pathway 1: Sober Continuity
For individuals already living sober who want to maintain their sobriety while traveling.

Even the most committed recovery can be tested under pressure — airports, hotel bars, late dinners, and long days away from routine. Veritas provides the structure, accountability, and discreet companionship that help you stay clear, consistent, and confident wherever your schedule takes you.
Includes:
-
Pre-trip planning and trigger assessment
-
Venue and hotel alcohol screening
-
On-site support and daily check-ins
-
Post-event stabilization and continuity strategy
Pathway 2: Crisis Containment
For individuals or organizations who must ensure sobriety during a critical event.
Some clients aren’t fully sober — but know that for this particular trip, conference, or public event, drinking isn’t an option. Whether retained privately or through an employer, Veritas provides discreet, professional presence and accountability to protect careers, reputations, and outcomes.
Includes:
-
Confidential pre-event coordination
-
Continuous on-site oversight and discretion
-
Personalized prevention plan and real-time support
-
Post-event transition to ongoing coaching if needed
Whether you’re protecting your recovery or your reputation, Veritas ensures you remain steady, sober, and in control — from departure to return.
Our Clients
Executives & Entrepreneurs
Stay sober in the boardroom - and beyond.
Conferences, corporate retreats and client meetings often blur the line between business and social pressure. Alcohol is everywhere, expectations are high and one misstep can carry serious consequences. Veritas travels with you, providing discreet, in-person support from departure to return, so you can focus on leadership, not temptation.
Doctors & Medical Professionals
Clear, confident, and sober at every convention.
Medical conferences and symposia bring long hours, networking, and open-bar events that test even disciplined professionals. Veritas provides tailored, discreet support throughout your travel and stay — helping you maintain composure, credibility, and your professional reputation.
Public Figures & High-Profile Clients
Discretion you can depend on when the spotlight is on.
Performances, political appearances, or media events bring unique pressures. Veritas offers behind-the-scenes presence and private guidance — helping you arrive composed, stay grounded during the event, and return home without compromising your image or integrity.
Additional Clients
We also support wealth managers, legal and finance professionals, and corporate speakers — individuals whose success depends on composure, discretion, and trustworthiness at high-stakes events.
How It Works
1

Confidential Consultation

Every engagement begins with a private conversation — completely confidential. We discuss your background, triggers, and the specific event or travel scenario ahead. Whether it’s a global conference, a board retreat, or a public appearance, we identify the risks and define success: clear, sober, composed performance under pressure.
2

Tailored Preparation

Once we understand your needs, Veritas develops a structured, customized plan. This includes reviewing travel logistics, coordinating with hotels or event venues, arranging alcohol-free accommodations when appropriate, and designing an hour-by-hour roadmap for receptions, meetings, and downtime. Every detail is considered — so you never face a high-risk moment unprepared.
3

In-Person Support

From departure to return, we remain by your side — quietly, professionally, and without disruption to your schedule. about dave harris
Founder, Veritas Sober Support

Professional:
For nearly three decades I worked at Mattel Inc., responsible for multiple business areas, managing teams and delivering results in a fast-paced, high-stakes corporate environment.
My work took me across the U.S. and around the world — a lifestyle that demanded focus, composure, and accountability under pressure. I know firsthand how business travel, performance expectations, and social obligations can challenge even the strongest commitment to sobriety.
That lived experience is what drives Veritas Sober Support — practical, peer-to-peer guidance from someone who has truly walked that path.

Personal:
I’ve been sober since February 24, 1989 — over 36 years of continuous sobriety — and have spent much of that time helping other men achieve lasting recovery across all socioeconomic and substance backgrounds.
I’m 59 years old, married for 30 years, and a proud father of three college graduates: a software engineer (27), a marine biologist (22), and a former Division I athlete turned business professional (22).
An active runner, lifelong learner, and family man, I split my time between Cape Cod (MA), Estero (FL), and Orchard Park (NY) — serving clients throughout the U.S. and internationally.
